Happy Camper Reviews

We needed a place to rest our bones during a 3 day sojourn in Minnesota. Sands Country Cove was the most idyllic place - we could hardly believe our luck finding such a beautiful, peaceful campground. Curt was the best host - from welcoming us, to including us for a “Christmas in July” paint party they had planned, to helping make sure I received an important package, just could not have asked for a better place to temporarily call home. If our travels ever bring us back to Minnesota we will go out of our way to stay here again!

We loved this quiet little campground. Owner, Curt takes great pride in the care of the grounds. On a beautiful lake but probably not great for swimming. We had a full hookup and were just staying one night on our way home to Wisconsin from South Dakota. Without question we would stay here again.

My dad and I were supposed to be hauling a load out of St. James, but got delayed by the shipper for 24 hours. With no nearby truck stops to stop, rest, shower, we were both pretty disheartened. But we called the owner of Sands Country Cove and he graciously allowed us to come out and use the campground showers. They were some of the nicest campground showers I have ever been in, with residential flushing toilets, hot water, and very clean. The campground itself was well-groomed with many amenities, playground, mini golf, kayaks for rent, etc. They even had a little cabin for rent. We ended up paying for an rv spot so we could rest in a quiet location. I would recommend this campground to ANYONE that was going to be in the area! You won't be disappointed!

Nice, quiet place to camp. The restrooms are clean, the sites are well maintained.
